how to get yourself out of that funk. also #selfcaretips. self care can mean more than face masks. although face masks are pretty dang nice and relaxing.

everybody has those days. those days where you just don't feel like yourself. sometimes you don't know why, it just happens. sometimes you're irritated with something that is out of your control. whatever the cause, those days seriously suck. i found myself in a funk tonight. life is seriously hard.
these are just some examples and a little step by step of a routine of what i do to help myself.
self care is important. because you are important.
self care can be as simple as remembering to use your oils or take your vitamins. it can be painting your nails. it can be putting makeup on or throwing together a cute outfit. it can be reading a book. it can be having coffee [or a cocktail] with a friend. it can be listening to your favorite song on blast and dancing around your kitchen. it can be taking a long drive. it can be wearing a face mask. it can be planning a whole spa evening for yourself. it can be drinking coffee in the cozy silence of the morning. it can be having a glass of wine in bed with your coziest blankets. it can be just taking a minute to have a few deep breaths. it can be whatever you want it to be. whatever it is that fills your cup.
whatever it is that you do to take time for yourself, take time to do it.
i know sometimes it's easier said than done, but seriously. you'll see a difference in everything. your mood, your productivity.
it's so worth it. because you are so worth it.
here are some things that i like to do to get myself out of a funk.
works like a charm.
essential oils can seriously improve your mood and lift your spirits.
i talk a lot about oils. because i seriously love them. but also because they seriously work. [i also sell them - if oils and natural products are something you're interested in buying let your sista know.]
step 1.
make yoself a room or linen spray. these types of projects fill my soul. sometimes #selfcare is doing little things like making a roller or a spray for yourself. [if you don't want to make one or don't have the supplies to make one, let me know and i can send you one.]

if you already have a room spray, spray that shit all over your bed and your room. i promise it will make you happy. who doesn't like fresh smelling linens.
this room spray is made of lavender, dream catcher, bergamot, lime, and grapefruit. so fresh & dreamy.
step 2.

fill your diffuser.
the reason i say this, instead of lighting a candle is that candles are full of synthetic fragrance and chemicals.
a diffuser, is full of essential oils that will support your emotions. when i'm feeling down in the dumps i like to diffuse peace & calming.
if you ever would like a roller or a sample of peace & calming, let me know. it's my favorite oil of all time.
step 3.
roll some oils on yoself. my go to when i'm in a funk is a roller called tranquil.

tranquil is a premade roller from young living. it's got lavender, cedarwood, and roman chamomile. it's dreaaaamy.
i apply my oils on my collarbone, wrists, over my heart, the back of my neck and behind my ears.
other good places to apply them are your spine and the bottom of your feet. your body absorbs on those spots the fastest.
step 4.
make yourself some popcorn. popcorn is lifeeee okay.
also. you have to put a lot of butter on it.
also, add some parmesan cheese.
thank me later. it's life changing.
i'm also a parmesan cheese addict.

blog post with the best popcorn recipe coming soon. i'll link it here when it goes up.
step 5.
pour yourself a big ol glass of wine. this step is totally optional, but i recommend it. plus it goes so good with popcorn.

step 6.
get cozy and watch some netflix.
ta da! enjoy.
you deserve that time for yourself. you deserve happiness. you deserve self care.
i hope that wherever you find yourself in life,
that you are happy and taking a minute to yourself each day.
i'm just so glad you are here, friend.
